Synopsis:

Intension (Latin intentio, -onis, .action to extend, tension, compression, effort) nf What one intends to do; purpose. What is desired (consciously or not); desire. Moral. That which is used to produce something even if it is not realized. Result of the will after admitting an idea as a project. = DESIGN, INTENT, PURPOSE, INTENT Reserved thinking (eg, no one knows your intentions). (Latin etm.: intentio.onis). Based on the short story “The Chorus Girl”, by Anton Chekhov.
